Green Day 's hit "American Idiot" got a different twist thanks to YouTuber SugarpillCovers, who imagined what the song would sound like if blink-182 recorded it.
In the video below, the YouTuber used Billie Joe Armstrong to complement the instrumental he recorded, creating a sound reminiscent of early blink-themed music.
This version comes days after Green Day's performance at the iHeartRadio Festival, where the group played the song with some alterations aimed at criticizing US President Donald Trump.
Instead of singing “I'm not a part of the redneck agenda,” Armstrong changed it to “I'm not a part of the MAGA agenda,” referring to Trump's slogan: Make America Great Again.
